Philanthropist • Grassroots Leader • Servant of the People
Born into a humble Egbura-speaking family in Toto, Nasarawa State, Maikaya's journey has been defined by the discipline of his roots and a relentless pursuit of excellence. He began at Toto-North Primary School, later attending Government Secondary School, Riyom, and the School of Preliminary Studies, Keffi, before earning a B.Sc. in Geology and Mining from the University of Jos (1990–1995).

Through the Maikaya Development Foundation, he has supported over 8,000 scholars since 2016, provided 365-day health coverage for 750+ vulnerable individuals in partnership with NASHIA, and donated a 500KVA transformer to restore power to the Toto community.
